Our client a City based established family run insurance broker with a unique portfolio approach to SME insurance and family business insurance – the role will be based in their New Offices in the East Hampshire area.
Due to growth in the commercial insurance sector they seek an experienced “City” type Account Handler.
Playing an integral role within the team, you will have good knowledge of Commercial products, in particular; Property Owners, Business Interruption, Material Damage, Cyber, Contractors All Risks and Liability, and be able to effectively take ownership of your client base with passion, enthusiasm and professionalism.
Your role will be to provide a positive client experience through careful and tailored communication as well as managing renewals with accuracy and confidence.
You would be responsible for looking after existing and new clients with premium levels up to £250,000.
You’ll need to be confident dealing with renewals, negotiating, placing policies, generating new business and handling mid-term adjustments.
On a day to day basis, you will be liaising with Insurers to find the best solutions, and looking at the wider opportunity to cross sell into the Private Client and even the Private Medical teams if possible

Ideally you’ll be educated to a minimum A Level standard, with GCSE passes in English Language and Maths and have a Cert CII under your belt, or at least be enthusiastic with working towards achieving accreditation within 12 months.
