How candidates can get the most out of a recruitment agency

If you are looking to find your perfect next job or boost your career, make sure you are getting the most out of your recruitment consultants (hopefully us!).   1. Be upfront about your aims

Be very clear about what you are looking to achieve. It will help us narrow our search so we only looking for the most interesting roles that will truly motivate you. If we know what your goals are, we can best use your time (and ours) for jobs that will deliver exactly what you are looking for.

 

  1. Communication

Tell us how you prefer to be contacted. Some of you may not be able to speak during working hours – that is fine! We are well used to communicating via candidates’ voicemail. Make sure we have all your correct contact information – and let us know immediately of any changes. Also ensure that you regularly check your email and phone messages throughout the process. We have filled some roles within 24 hours – so you really don’t want to miss out!

 

  1. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy

If you have career gaps, false starts or issues with your CV, be up front and talk to us about them. It will help us ensure that potential employers understand the full context around any perceived anomalies which might initially concern them.   1. Listen

So if you want help beefing up your CV, you need an interview run through or you just want some pointers finding background information on the target employer, just ask.
